Ever wanted to get passes to the concert that already says "SOLD OUT"? Most of us even get passes to such concerts; and how? Just pay a few bucks extra and walk right through.
And then people are disgusted and infuriated when they talk about the deep rooted corruption in our country. It is funny how we tag politicians as corrupt, but never look at what we are doing. We seem to be indifferent to the things we ourselves do. We always want the easier way out. You don't get reservations confirmed- bribe the T.T., you don't get the tickets to the latest movie- get them in black. Like this we will fight against corruption? We are a bunch of hypocrites who don't want to take a stand. We can animatedly discuss the corrupt politicians and their scams but not take a step for ourselves to eliminate corruption at the lowest level as well as the highest levels.
They say, you cannot win the battle alone. But who is alone if each individual tries his/her best fight against corruption? We are in it together. We are the present and the future. We are the ones who are capable of making a difference.
