The nostalgia of goodbyes,
Makes me wonder how the time flies
Wasn't it just yesterday, when I realized what friendship is about.
And today, there seems nothing but a cloud of doubt.
Was it friendship when you teased me,
Or was it when you wouldn't let me be
Alone in my troubles
And would burst them like bubbles.
Breaking though the shield I had put around
You entered my world, just to turn it upside down.
The hushed secrets and the unintended jokes
Passing smiles and the naughty pokes
The untamed opinions and the heated disagreements
And, those useless discussions about each others neurotic treatments.
Falling in love, and falling out of it
Without you would have hurt a bit.
It was friendship in between these silly moments
That today I hold as precious ornaments.
With a bundle of memories and a few salty drops
We smile through the counted moments of togetherness
In the name of friendship, we say
We promise to stay in future as we are today.
